The first annual STAGEfest at the Loew's was a success thanks to the talent of the artists and production companies involved, a very hard-working tech crew that oversaw productions in six different performance spaces, and our dedicated volunteer house staff that kept the doors open and things running smoothly for more than 25 hours over three days!  It was also a success thanks to the more then 600 patrons who bought tickets -- far more than we had dared hope for a first-time event!  Thank you all.

 

STAGEfest succeeded in being a fun and exciting showcase of some of our area's best theatrical talent.  It was energized by the fact that everything was happening under one roof, but in very different (albeit, all very ornate) spaces throughout the Landmark Loew's.  

 

Adding immeasurably  to the atmosphere was the eye-popping display of historical theatrical costumes provided by Leading Lady Costumes.

 

And the culinary talents of Honey Bakery made the festival's cafe -- in the Grand Lobby -- one of the tastiest places to be in Jersey City.

 

There's never been anything quite like STAGEfest in Hudson County before.  But there will be next year -- when STAGEfest 2014 comes to the Loew's.  We'll see you then.
